A Simple, Step-by-Step Guide to Bring Your Rs. 1 Crore Dream to Life

A five-step plan — pick good funds, automate with SIPs, review annually, stay disciplined through volatility, and let compounding do the rest.

Building a substantial corpus doesn't need to be complicated. First-time investors can start with balanced funds for stability; those with more experience and a tax-saving need can go with ELSS; otherwise, equity multi-cap funds are a solid default.

Automate, review, and stay the course

Set up a monthly SIP and increase the amount as income rises. Review annually — moving out of funds that have slipped in ratings, mindful of tax and exit-load implications before selling past investments. Above all, don't stop SIPs or redeem out of fear during market swings; volatility is part of the journey, not a signal to abandon it.

Follow this simple plan consistently and there's little else to do but watch the wealth grow — and celebrate when you get there.
